Our Partnership With Parents
-
Communication
Open communication between parents and staff is strongly encouraged. Teachers are encouraged to learn what is important to you as a parent and to use that information to support your child's care.
-
Medical Information
We are required under the Child Care and Early Years Act to have a copy of each child's immunization record or a medical exemption from a licensed health care practitioner.
-
Injuries
If your child is injured while at the centre, staff will administer basic first aid. If medical attention is required, attempts will be made to reach the parents immediately. Staff will call Emergency Services if required.
-
Nutrition
Children are provided with nutritious, organic snacks with parent participation. They bring their own lunch. Children are encouraged to taste a variety of foods but no child is ever forced to eat foods that they do not wish to.
Documents shown above include a Parent Handbook that provides an understanding of the mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures followed at our center. The School Calendar will help you plan for holidays and other events. The Tuition Schedule will be useful to parents considering a montessori school. The Summer Program can help avoid losing progress made during the school year ad may be of interest.
This school is a full member of the American Montessori Society (AMS)
In order to qualify for this special status, the lead teacher(s) must hold a Montessori certification with AMS.
